This Anak Bangsa Malaysia inspires me to do what needs to be done even if it has to be at the expense of a kaki-lang. Yes, incumbent Dr. Kow Cheong Wei is a relation of mine but my vote is going to Teresa Kok. This is no longer an option.

We do not vote to secure 20% for the Chinese and 9%  for the Indians. We vote to secure 100% for all Malaysians, for all anak-anak Bangsa Malaysia.

THE war of words has begun in the Kinrara State seat — between BN’s candidate Dr Kow Cheong Wei and DAP’s Teresa Kok.

Dr Kow, who is defending his seat, doubted his opponent’s capability to serve the constituents as she is relatively new to the constituency, but Kok said she is all set to take up the challenge.

Still, Dr Kow admitted it will be a battle for him, facing a well-known female DAP candidate.

“I don’t deny she is a strong opponent, but I think the people in Kinrara deserve a dedicated and focused assemblyman who is not torn between two big responsibilities at the same time.”

Dr Kow believed Kok, who is also defending her Seputeh parliamentary seat, would not have the time to serve two constituencies.

He expressed confidence that contributions in Kin rara in the last term will be reflected in the voters’ decision.

“I am able to contribute much more to the development of Kinrara.

“I have plans drawn up for the area up to 2020. They need to be carried out in stages.”

However, Kok, the DAP publicity secretary, said Kinrara is not going to be anything new, as she already has a service centre in the area that receives complaints not only from Kinrara residents, but also residents from other areas in the Puchong parliamentary constituency.

“If I am incapable, the residents would not come to see me.”

Kok said Kinrara is not far from Seputeh and she has assistants who will help her in her duties.

“DAP feels it is import ant to increase the number of opposition members in the Selangor State assembly to serve as a watchdog to the State government,” she said.
