Narnia: Prince Caspian

NarniaWhat a screw up! I bought 4 tickets for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian last week, at the same time the family took time off to watch The Iron Man. At GSC Summit.

It was to be for Saturday night, 17 May 2008. I did not check the tickets, big mistake.

So come Saturday, we arrived at The Summit early. Had our dinner, queued up at the gate with 30 minutes to spare, bought two packs of popcorns for the kids, entered the screening hall and took our seats.

As we were munching our popcorns waiting for the show to start, an Indian couple came up to tell us that we were siting on their seats. Huh? They showed us their tickets. I took out ours. Only then did I realised that I was given tickets for 15 May 2008! Aiyoh, Kah Chern and Kah Ming will scream MURDER cos they have been waiting for this show since the first ad appeared months ago!

We had to leave leave the hall. I proceeded to the ticketing counter to explain the screw-up. The supervisor was consulted. She came. I explained and apologised to her and told her to please allow us back in since there were still some empty seats. Any rows will do, even the front ones, I told her. No arguments. She consulted with the other staff, then instructed one of them to usher us back in and gave us 4 seats in the back rows. That was a nice suprise!

In our haste, I forgot to get her name. But that isn’t going to stop me from thanking Miss GSC Summit for saving me from my two boys. Thank you.

And the verdict from the boys? Narnia 1 was much better-lah. Why, I asked? Because Aslan appeared so late in the show!
