USJ8 Police Station

The decrepit shack that Wong Sai Wan wrote about in The Star, ‘No way for policemen to work’ on 27 March 2009. Some photos to put this article in perspective.
This is the main building of the existing balai police. It houses the front desk, meeting room and the Timbalan OCS’ office.

This container size buliding is located at [...]

Stress takes a toll on heart

Anxiety, depression and stress caused by work and the economy are unhealthful in their own right; they’re also hard on the ticker. Some of the evidence:

Depression, anxiety, chronic life stress and high blood pressure all raise the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Stress, high blood pressure and smoking are major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Job pressure [...]

What the Prime Minister said

The Star makes a correction today.
IN OUR report on Page 2 yesterday headlined “Abdullah to see King on April 2”, it has been pointed out that Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi did not state when the handover will take place.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour in USJ 18 last night. More than half the houses along my street kept their lights off.

MPSJ spoilt the fun by keeping the street lamps on. Sheesh!

Lights out!

They have given notice that all lights will be out for 1 hour tonight. It’s Earth Hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
Air-conds will be off-limits too, for 24 hours. To be sure, all controls have been kept/hidden. I am proud of them.

“If the treatment is not done properly, it can cause the liquidised fat to enter [...]

Sore loser

KT is tainted with corruption. MM is no angel. KJ is as controversial but he is the most intelligent of the lot.
In this game, KJ won “fair and square” against all odds. I am happy for him. The old man is just a sore loser. He acts like he was a contestant.
Anyway, even if KJ had [...]

KJ is new Ketua Pemuda UMNO

He who laughs last, laughs the best. Wakakaka … KJ beat Mahathir Mohamad 304-232 to become the new Ketua Pemuda UMNO.
The old man is going to cry RASUAH first thing tomorrow morning and I am betting my last Ringgit on that.
Wakakaka …

The Malaysian Insider
Recession on the horizon for Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 – A steep fall in Malaysia’s exports in January (28 per cent year-on-year) has led a local securities’ house to predict a recession in 2009 and suggest that Kuala Lumpur might have to trot out yet another stimulus package to mitigate its effects.
AmResearch, the [...]
